Hello Cathedral Family,
One of my favorite verses these days is John 10:10.
John 10:10: “The thief’s purpose is to steal, kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”
Overly simplified, this verse paints two possible pictures for our life. One is lush and green, with blue skies and an abundance of all that is good and beautiful. The other is a dry and barren wasteland where life barely clings to existence.
The BIG LIE from the enemy is that you can’t have that life. He tries to plant thoughts in your mind that you’ve blown it, or don’t deserve it, or have disqualified yourself from it. Not true, not true, not true. These are strongholds over your life that he wants you to believe.
The BIG TRUTH from God is that His Word has the power to overcome every single stronghold of the enemy.
“So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.” Romans 8:1
“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”
2 Corinthians 5:17“Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:17
I guarantee that there is a promise from God to contradict every lie that has ever entered your mind concerning the abundant life God has for you.
Join me this Sunday as we continue to pull down the strongholds of the enemy and replace them with the life-giving promises of God!
